APRIL 13

• HISTORIC HILL FESTIVAL: Celebrate Boerne’s history from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boerne Area Historical Preservation Society’s largest event of the year. Buildings on Historic Hill, 402 E. Blanco Road, will be open (including the schoolhouse) for tours. Oral histories of the school will be recorded; feel free to add yours to the collection. Enjoy music, food, and games; free and open to the public.

• FIRST ANNIVERSARY PARTY: 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen, 110 Market Ave. In Boerne, is saying “Thank you!” to their community and friends by throwing a first anniversary celebration. All day fun, a free lunch, live music, games and more.

• JOIN CARRIAGE HOUSE Gallery for its Texas Bluebonnet Reception at 110 Rosewood Ave. in Boerne. From photography to paintings to fused glass, it’s all about the Texas state flower at this festive spring gallery event, running 4-7 p.m. Enjoy wine and light bites as you enjoy all the bluebonnet art.

• BOERNE MARKET DAYS runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the heart of Boerne’s historical district on Main Plaza. Synonymous with great shopping in an outdoor setting, with artists, craftsmen and vendors sharing their creative talents and wares, to the background music of some of Texas’ best homegrown musicians, the event runs Saturday and Sunday.

• ITALIAN DINNER EVENT: Reserve your seat early and celebrate life with great Italian food and drinks at Limestone Bistro, 946 N. School St., from 6-8 p.m. Great deals on wine will be happening too. Reservations at: 830-331-2182

• STAR PARTY: head out to the Guadalupe River State Park, 3350 Park Road 31, from 7:45-9:45 p.m. to get a great look at our beautiful solar system. Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff will be on site with their telescopes to point out the moon, constellations, planets and more.

APRIL 15

• CRESTMONT CLASSIC GOLF Tournament: The first-ever Crestmont Classic will raise money to support the faculty and students at Crestmont Christian Preparatory School. The day will begin at 11 a.m. at the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club, 7900 Fair Oaks Pkwy., with registration and lunch. A shotgun start at noon will launch the golfers into a four-man scramble tournament, followed by dinner and silent auction. Registration at: birdease.com/ crestmont.

• THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. for Boerne’s Farmer’s Market, 402 E. Blanco Road, to celebrate their grand opening.

APRIL 17

• RIVER ROAD PARK ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate completion of the Bank Stabilization and Enhancement Project. Parking available at the Plant Street lot, with the ceremony being held at the park. RSVP to [email protected] attend.

• THE BOERNE CHAMBER will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. for Niche Properties by Debra Janes Luxury Real Estate 10 Dominion Drive Bldg. 2.

APRIL 18

• DIVA NIGHT: SPRING Fling: Get ready for the best “Girls Night Out” on the Hill Country Mile. From 5-9 p.m., this always-popular evening will include later shopping hours, cocktails, delicious bites, music and more. Join the Boerne Retail and Restaurant Owners Association for the perfect night out with friends and your favorite local businesses.

• BOOST BOERNE BUSINESS by Boerne Radio. Be at Texas Heritage Bank, 1208 S. Main St., from 4-6 p.m. for the opportunity to network with local businesses and enjoy some great food. Door prizes will be available. Event is free. Register at: boerneradio.com/bbb.

APRIL 19

• FAMILY NIGHT HIKE: Come out to the trails at Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road, at sunset and discover the various living organisms that call the Cibolo home. Family Night Hikes are great ways for children and families to explore the Cibolo and see what lives in the park in the dark! The hike lasts from 7-9 p.m.; $30 per family. APRIL 20

• TEXAS CORVETTE ASSOCIATION Open Car Show takes over downtown Boerne’s Main Plaza from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as more than 450 colorful Corvettes and other classic vehicles will line the historic Hill Country Mile and attract car enthusiasts and guests.

• “THE BIG SIT” is a stationary birdwatching event where a group sees how many different species of birds they can spot from within a 50-foot circle. Join the Great Texas Birding Classic team, Guad Squad, and count birds along with them. The event runs 9 a.m. to noon at Guadalupe River State Park, 3350 Park Road 31, Spring Branch. Interested? • NATIVE PLANT SALE: The Boerne Chapter Native Plant Society of Texas will be back for its biannual Native Plant Sale, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road in Boerne. • DADDY DAUGHTER HOEDOWN: Daddies and daughters are invited to join the court for a fiesta night of dinner, dancing and fun hosted by the Kendall County Fair Queen’s Court. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; cost is $25/person for dinner and dance; or $20/Daddy-Daughter for dance only. Each additional daughter is $5. • WATERCOLOR IN THE Park: Join the Guadalupe River State Park team at 3350 Park Road 31, for a captivating exploration of the park’s vibrant wildflowers through the art of watercolor. Whether a novice or an experienced painter, all skill levels are welcome to participate. Ideal for ages 7 and up. Adults $7, children 12 and under are free. Please register to ensure availability.

APRIL 22

• THE UKULELE ORCHESTRA of Great Britain takes the Champion High School auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m. for the Boerne Performing Arts season finale. Ranging between sincerity and insanity; punk rock sensibilities and restrained British humor, their catalog is a menagerie of rock, pop, jazz, blues, and classical music, performed with humor and a flair for toe-tapping, roof-raising and often twisted renditions. • WILD GAME DINNER: Join St. John Lutheran Church of Boerne at the Kendall County Youth Agriculture and Equestrian Center, 648 FM 289 in Comfort, for the annual wild game dinner. Doors will open at 4 p.m. The event features delicious wild game fare, door prizes, silent and live auctions, kids’ games and more.
