The Boerne High baseball team completed the season sweep of Fredericksburg with a 7-2 win Friday night in Boerne.
The Greyhounds also beat the Billies earlier in the week (13-1) to take the season series and improve its record to 18-6 overall.
BHS is 8-1 in district and remains in first place. Boerne begins a series with Canyon Lake this week. They hosted the Hawks Tuesday and visit Canyon Lake Friday.
Boerne scored in five of the six innings they batted and went up 5-0 before the Billies scored their first run of the game in the top of the sixth to make it 5-1.
Dylan Perez hit an inside-the-park homer in the bottom of the sixth and brought in two runs for the 7-1 lead.
Fred added another run in the seventh and Boerne didn’t have to bat in the bottom of the inning since they had a lead and were the home team.
Perez also doubled to go with his homer, Hudson McNew doubled and drove in a run and Walker Hill doubled and scored.
Jace Preston walked and picked up an RBI, Ryan Hooper scored once, Hutson Hendrix singled, took 2 walks and scored once, Jackson Grimes singled and scored twice, Reese House singled and pushed in a run and Grant Tamplet singled and collected 2 RBI.
Grimes earn the won in six innings of work and threw 90 pitches. He gave up 3 hits, 1 run, 5 walks and struck out 6.
Eli Srp tossed an inning and yielded 2 hits, 1 run and 1 walk.
