CIBOLO CREEK ELEMENTARY is hosting its first-ever Fiesta 5K and Fun Run at the school, 300 Herff Ranch Blvd. in Boerne. HISTORIC HILL FESTIVAL: Celebrate Boerne’s history from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boerne Area Historical Preservation Society’s largest event of the year. Buildings on Historic Hill will be open (including the schoolhouse) for tours. Oral histories of the school will be recorded; feel free to add yours to the collection. TEXAS CORVETTE ASSOCIATION’S Open Car Show takes over downtown Boerne’s Main Plaza from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as more than 450 colorful Corvettes and other classic vehicles will line the historic Hill Country Mile and attract car enthusiasts and guests. Enjoy all that downtown Boerne has to offer while admiring beautiful vehicles.
“THE BIG SIT” is a stationary birdwatching event where a group sees how many different species of birds they can spot from within a 50-foot circle. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has stumbled upon international and critical acclaim as the most entertaining pluckers.
