— Helotes Gallery: “Expressive Elements,” an Exhibit of Art with Stone, Metal, and other elements is up through April 7, featuring Georgiana Chenault and Sherry Fotopoulas. Working in copper and other metals with found objects and precious metal clay, Fotopoulas creates intriguing art that captures the eye and the imagination. Chenault brings flat stone and marble alive. Her creations bring the subject, often animal, out of the form with line and shading, creating art that emerges for the viewers. — Hill Country Council for the Arts mini workshop, “Leather Project,” Yaqui slide belt holster, 1-4 p.m. on April 20. Lew Pewterbaugh, leather artisan and accomplished saddle-maker, returns to The Classroom at The Agri-Cultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road in Boerne. Open to anyone with basic leather stamping or carving skills, and current students interested in figure carving. Supplies included; class size limited.
