Comfort closed out the first round of district action with a pair of softball games against Blanco and Ingram.
The Deer were defeated by the Panthers and Warriors via the run rule.
Comfort is 3-13 overall and 0-5 in district. They began second-round action against Brady on Thursday.
Vs. Ingram
The Warriors won Tuesday’s game, 15-0, behind 13 hits.
Ingram scored 5 in the first, 4 in the second and third frames and added 2 more in the fourth to kick in the mercy rule.
Comfort had 2 hits, singles from Kippy Sterling and Lilah Bohnert. Sterling also took a walk.
Lilly Bates and Ella Thiele both pitched in the game and Thiele struck out 2.
Vs. Blanco
Blanco dropped the Deer, 16-1, and scored 13 runs in one inning to blow it open.
Comfort finished with 3 hits in the game, a double from Kaydence Stehling and singles from Faith Diaz de Villegas and Kippy Sterling.
The Diaz de Villegas hit came in the second and brought in Stehling to account for Comfort’s only run.
Ella Thiele was in the circle for the Deer and went all three innings and faced 22 batters.
