James Armand Bernarduci 

September 12, 1939 – March 14, 2022

 

James Armand Bernarduci was called to be with the Lord on the morning of March 14, 2022, at the age of 82 in Magnolia, Texas. To his family and friends, he was known as Jim, J.B., Pappa Jim and Pa. 

Jim was born on September 12, 1939, in Sykesville, Pennsylvania, as the only child of Armand “Babe”  Bernarduci and Dorothy “Dot” Bernarduci. Jim is survived by the love of his life, Nancy Jean Bernarduci; his three daughters, Wendy Johnston and her husband, Mike, Stacy Bernarduci and Shelly Koteras and her husband, Mike. Jim leaves behind four grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Tonya, Jessica, Rachael and Jordan; and five great-grandchildren, Emma, Kayla, Hannah, Sophia and Harper. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Mary Parker, John Dvorak and his wife, Cheryl, and Tad Dvorak; step-grandchildren Tara and Terry; and step-great-grandchildren Payton and Jayde. 

Jim graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1957 with a football scholarship to West Virginia University. He proudly served for over 20 years as a major with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office as a jail administrator. 

Jim was an avid golfer and served on several community outreach programs throughout his life, such as the American Association of Lost Children and Meals on Wheels. He also enjoyed teaching Sunday school at church.

He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great-grandpa and will be missed by all those who loved him. 

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced.
