Weis campaigns for seat on Boerne council
Daniel Weis

BOERNE — Daniel “Your Boerne, Your Voice,” Weis is running for Boerne City Council District 3.

After serving his country for 23 years, Weis retired from active military service. He and his wife, Sheri, moved to the Hill Country of Boerne 14 years ago.

Once here, Weis continued to serve his community as commander of the American Legion’s CPT Mark Tyler Voss Post 313 while continuing to serve his country by working for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command in San Antonio.

His 30-plus years of leadership and complex decision-making will allow him to work with the challenges the city faces, now and in the future. He is trained as a planner and has trained others in planning for over 20 years. Proactive, not reactive, he said he sees paths for strategic planning, including review of policy and laws, and writing management and budgeting procedures.

With this background, he wants to help Boerne residents by being their City Council District 3 voice.

He said he sees there are great policies in place, but also policies that are not working for the best interest of all residents.

“Boerne continues to create resource opportunities, but as a conservative I believe these should neither drastically change our residents’ way of life, nor the landscape of our Hill Country town,” he said. “There are ways to balance opportunities with growth without undue adverse impact to our city’s infrastructure.”

Weis said residents of Boerne should always be in the council’s thoughts when decisions are made on their behalf.

Weis is currently available to hear the citizens’ thoughts on what Boerne means to them and where Boerne is going, at: 830-510-3383; [email protected]; and on Facebook/Daniel Weis for Boerne District 3.

Weis said he would “appreciate hearing from you and would appreciate your vote.”
