Right before spring break, the Boerne High track and field teams competed at the Davenport Wolf Invitational. After that, they took a week off for spring break and are scheduled to be at the Antler Relays in Kerrville March 21, after the break.
Varsity Boys
Wyatt Watts posted an 11.64 for 4th in the 100 dash and Michael Igbo was 8th in 11.83, while Charlie Stahl won the 200 with a time of 22.69 and William Freeman placed 3rd in a 23.22.
Woody Goen won the 400 after running a 51.01, Barrett Crofut took 1st in the 800 with a time of 2:02, while Aaron Garcia and Jackson Temple were 8th and 9th with a 2:07 and 2:08.
Crofut also captured 1st in the 1600 after posting a 4:35, Garcia was 2nd in 4:40 in Carsten Bain came in 4th in 4:43.
Bain also placed 2nd in the 3200 with a time of 10:01 and Tayson Farar took 4th in 10:14.
McCoy Bruce recorded a time of 15.79 for 2nd in the 110 hurdles, while Bruce won the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.46.
In the 4x100 relay, the Boerne boys were first with a time of 42.82, while the 4x200 team placed 2nd after posting a 1:30.67.
Woody Goen placed 3rd in the long jump with a mark of 19-10 and Michael Igbo was 9th at 18-04.
In the discus, Keagan Fischer was 3rd with a throw of 140-04 and Will Traylor came in 8th at 112-03 and Aidan Riebel finished 10th at 110-02.
Fischer placed 1st in the shot put with a throw of 50-02.25, Logan Schram was 3rd in 43-11 and Blake Burkholder came in 6th at 42-11.
Varsity Girls
Isabella Pettet finished 4th in the 100 dash with a time of 13.06 and Ocean Valenciano came in 7th with a 13.57.
Savannah Seibert and Mary Marino placed 2nd and 3rd in the 400 after Seibert ran a 59.64 and Marino posted a 1:02, while Lilly Cox finished 6th in the 800 with a time of 2:29 and Landon Wade was 9th in 2:40.
Eleanor Davis ran a 5:32 in the 1600 for 3rd and Kiera Sawyer was 9th with a 6:09.
Davis also came in 2nd in the 3200 after recording a 11:51, while Sawyer was 9th in 13:19 and Genevieve Sengler placed 10th in 13:24.
Kelsey Hernandez clocked in at 22.35 in the 100 hurdles and Reese Ammerman finished 4th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 53.88.
The Boerne 4x100 captured 3rd after combining for a time of 50.78, the 4x200 was 6th in a time of 1:55 and the 4x400 came in 3rd in 4:12.
Kendall Lemm cleared 5-6 in the high jump to earn 2nd, while Isabella Pettet won the long jump with a mark of 17-04.75 and Savannah Seibert was 3rd in the long jump at 16-03.25.
In the triple jump, Mallory Pontillo was 7th at 30-08.50 and Ashlyn Mazur tied for 8th with a measurement of 30-06.
Landon Wade vaulted to 4th place in the pole vault after she cleared 8-0, while Averi Aaron won the discus with a throw of 108-06, Ella Schram was 4th at 96-02 and Morgan Naylor came in 7th in 90-08.
Schram placed 2nd in the shot put with a toss of 34-08, while Mickena Randle was 10th at 28-09 and Naylor placed 11th at 28-02.5.
