The Boerne High soccer teams will wrap up district play Tuesday, March 19, against Wimberley.
The BHS boys are at Charger Field to host the Texans and the Lady Greyhounds are at Wimberley.
The Boerne boys are 16-0 overall and have already clinched this year’s league title, their sixth in a row, and moved their district win streak to 46 straight victories.
The Lady Hounds are in a three-way tie for first place in District 26-4A with Wimberley and Davenport at 6-1-2.
While the BHS girls are at Wimberley, Davenport plays the fourth-place team in the district, Canyon Lake on that Tuesday.
A Boerne win, coupled with a Davenport loss gives the Lady Greyhounds this year’s league title, but a loss could drop them to third, depending on what happens in the Davenport – Canyon Lake match.
Boerne Champion
The Chargers have wrapped up district play this year and will start the playoffs Monday, March 25.
The Champion boys are the third-place team in district at 7-4-3 and moved up a spot on the final night of the regular season after a win over Seguin and a Kerrville Tivy loss to Veterans Memorial.
The girls are the fourth-place team in the district at 10-3-1.
Champion will go more than two weeks between their last district game and the playoffs so they’ve added warm up matches.
Both the girls and boys teams will play New Braunfels at Charger Field Wednesday, March 20. The girls start at 5:30 p.m. and the boys begin at 7:15 p.m.
