House candidate Geary Dems luncheon speaker

BOERNE — Kevin Geary, candidate for Texas House of Representatives Dist. 122, will be the guest speaker when the Boerne Area Democrats meet at noon March 21 at the Longhorn Café-upstairs, 369 S. Esser St. in Boerne.

Geary moved to San Antonio in 2006 along with Andrea, his wife of 26 years, and their two sons, Hunter and Hayden. Both of his sons attended Northside public schools and graduated from Brandeis High School.

Geary is an attorney and has worked at USAA for 21 years, representing and advocating for active duty and retired members of the military and their families.

Geary said he was motivated to run because he “is tired of having a representative for Dist. 122 who is more interested in political stunts than common sense leadership.”

Geary plans to share his views on the importance of public schools and teachers, tackling the immigration crisis, ensuring everyone in Texas has access to clean air and water and protecting a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.

The club will also have an informational discussion about the art of persuasive conversation. The meeting is open to the public. Those planning to dine are asked to arrive early, to place lunch orders.
