The Geneva School of Boerne girls soccer team advanced to the TAPPS state tournament after the Eagles defeated Bay Area Christian last Saturday in LaGrange, 2-1.
Geneva advances to the state semifinals where they faced Schertz John Paul II Tuesday.
The teams have met twice this year and split with the Eagles winning 6-2 in their first meeting and JP II taking their second match in a shootout (3-2) after they played to a 0-0 tie in regulation.
