Comfort played in the Sonora baseball tourney and went 2-1 last weekend.
Comfort is 7-2 overall and hosted Leakey Tuesday before visiting Harper Saturday. They’ll take on Geneva Monday in Boerne at noon during spring break.
The Bobcats opened with a 20-3 win over Presidio and knocked out 4 hits in the first, 5 in the second and 11 in the third behind 14 hits.
Mason Matt tripled, while Cade Woerner, Juan Zarate and Micah Nye all doubled.
Caleb Van Geffen drove in 4 runs, Nye and Tucker Rust and Woerner all drove in 3 runs, while Matt picked up 2 RBI.
Zach Jones picked up the win in 2.1 innings. He gave up 4 hits, 3 runs and walked 4.
Up next, Harper had a fast start and scored 5 runs in the first frame and went on to win, 10-6, despite getting outhit by the Cats although Comfort did commit 5 errors.
Mason West tripled, hit 2 singles and scored 2 runs, Micah Nye doubled and singled, and drove in 3 runs, while Brooks Davis singled and scored 2 runs.
Tucker Rust went 5 innings and gave up 8 hits, 3 walks and fanned 2.
In its final game, Comfort defeated host Sonora, 5-2.
Micah Nye struck out 12, scattered 5 hits, gave up 2 runs and walked 1.
Nye also hit a solo homer in the second inning and scored 2 runs in the game.
Mason West and Mason Matt both hit 2 singles.
