The Comfort baseball team suffered its first loss of the year after they were defeated by Fredericksburg Tuesday, 13-3, in six innings.
CHS is 5-1 and plays in the Sonora tourney this weekend.
Comfort scored a run in the first, but didn’t score again until the sixth when they plated 2 runs.
Fred had 7 runs in its first three innings, added another in the fifth and scored 4 in the bottom of the sixth to kick in the mercy rule.
Mason Matt knocked out 2 hits for the Cats that had 6 singles in the game.
Cade Woerner, Mason Matter, Caleb Van Geffen and Mason West all tossed in the game.
