LAW ENFORCEMENT 

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. FEB. 21

8:48 a.m., River Road/Esser Road – Law enforcement was notified of a vehicle in the area having been reported as stolen.

12:14 p.m., mile marker 540, W. Interstate 10 – A caller reported a woman had parked on the side of the interstate and appeared to be trying to catch a dog. Animal Control was contacted to either help or intervene in the matter.

12:42 p.m., 100 block of Jolie Circle – A caller reported checking and savings accounts had been opened under her name without her authorization.

5:03 p.m., 100 block of Highland Drive – A caller was concerned about a male on an electric bike who was circling the caller’s neighborhood.

5:52 p.m., 100 block of E. Bandera Road – An employee said he saw a truck hit a telephone pole in the area and then drive off.

5:54 p.m., 100 block of Cibolo Creek Drive – A caller reported a male had come to the door, claiming to be with a security company. The male said he needed to do an inspection of the residence. The caller contacted the security company, which said they do not do inspections.

12:20 p.m., 100 block of Kasper Drive – A woman reported receiving a scam call from a male who was claiming to be a Boerne Police officer.

1:01 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported a driver that he suspected was intoxicated. The caller was concerned because the suspicious motorist had children in the vehicle.

1:53 p.m., 1200 block of S. Main Street – An employee reported a customer kept following her around.

6:58 p.m., 200 block of Branson Falls Drive – A caller reported to be experiencing extortion over the phone.

8:06 p.m., 500 block of Herff Ranch Boulevard – A caller reported hearing gunshots while standing on an apartment balcony but was unsure where they were coming from.

11:58 p.m., 200 block of Frey Street – A caller was concerned about the smell of gas in the house. The caller said his wife’s dinner choice may be contributing to the smell of the residence. Law enforcement found that there wasn’t a gas leak and the smell had been caused by a nearby skunk.

12:18 a.m., 200 block of Ryan Street – A staff member reported a vehicle with its lights on near the front door. Law enforcement investigated and found it was a delivery vehicle.

8:46 a.m., 300 block of Chaparral Creek Drive – A caller reported his wife was threatening to throw him out of the house after a fight.

12:49 p.m., 100 block of Whisper Way – A caller reported someone was threatening to report the caller for noise violations. The caller said the neighbor had also threatened to deport the caller.

3:51 p.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A restaurant manager reported a vehicle had driven over a sign and hit a pole in their parking lot earlier that afternoon. The vehicle was struggling to get out of the ditch and possibly needed a tow truck.

4:22 p.m., 100 block of Cactus Pear – A passing delivery driver reported two men who were beginning a physical altercation. They quickly stopped fighting but continued to argue. A second caller reported the altercation and suspected one of the individuals was inebriated. Law enforcement came to the location and separated the parties.

FEB. 24

7:33 a.m., 32000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle parked partially into the roadway, with the driver’s side door left open. There was no one inside the vehicle.

11:49 a.m., 1500 block of River Road – Two trucks collided, and one hit a utility pole. One occupant was complaining of arm pain and an ambulance was called. TxDOT was notified of minor damage to a traffic signal box.

1:52 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A vehicle stolen out of San Antonio was reported to be headed toward Boerne on the interstate.

8:55 p.m., 1100 block of River Road – A driver was suspected of being intoxicated after twice striking the building with his vehicle. Law enforcement located the vehicle and found the driver had passed out. The driver was taken to the Boerne emergency room.

11:16 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported a male who seemed to be intoxicated who was laying against a guard rail by the AMC theater. The caller then saw the male wander into the woods before losing sight of him.

2:27 p.m., 100 block of Sandy Shoal – A caller reported he received threats over the phone. The caller requested an officer come to the location to take the report.

3:56 p.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported his vehicle was keyed while in a parking lot.

5:08 p.m., 700 block of Oak Park Drive – A caller reported her ex-husband dented her vehicle, and that she had a witness. The caller said when the ex-husband was confronted, he denied doing the damage.

9:02 p.m., 100 block of Lane – A caller reported when she was taking out the trash, there was a horrible smell in the air. The caller said she had been watching a lot of crime shows and was concerned about the matter.

FEB. 26

12:07 a.m., mile marker 540, E. I-10 – A caller reported he had hit something while driving on the exit ramp but was unsure what he hit. There were no reports of an injured person having been struck by a vehicle, so that’s a positive sign.

8:24 a.m., 1600 block of River Road – A caller was concerned about fraud on his credit card. Despite never having been to Boerne, the caller’s card information was being used here.

11:28 a.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller requested a trespassing warning citation against a male who was fired from the location.

1:30 p.m., 1300 block of River Road – A caller reported a male who was wandering around the location. The caller was concerned the individual was attempting to break into storage units. Law enforcement contacted the male and found he was just trying to locate the restrooms.

6:26 p.m., 33000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported they had over $10,000 in cryptocurrency stolen from them.

7:39 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported a vehicle had dropped off three individuals at the location. One of the women approached the caller and asked for directions to San Antonio as a male approached the caller’s vehicle. The caller felt as though the woman was distracting him. The vehicle then circled back to pick up the three individuals.

FEB. 27

9:36 a.m., 100 block of Schleicher Street – A caller reported his bank card had been “scammed” at a Valero.

10:10 a.m., 100 block of Hagen Drive – A male came into the Boerne PD lobby to report that while he was tax-filing, he was notified that someone else was using his Social Security number. The caller was unsure what else may have been taken.

1:40 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported that a male was pretending to shoot the caller with his finger and had told the caller he was a “Karen.”

2:08 p.m., 100 block of N. Main Street – A caller wanted to speak with an officer, upset over the number of 18-wheelers traveling down Main Street.

4:51 p.m., 300 block of Herff Ranch Boulevard – A caller reported that her car was keyed at some point during the day.

7:39 p.m., 200 block of W. Bandera Road – An assistant manager reported a former employee came in and began yelling at the employees at the location.
