The Fair Oaks H-E-B will throw open its doors to the public on March 6, according to a company spokesman.
The store, at 29388 Interstate 10 West, is the first phase of construction in the 118acre development known as Lemon Creek Ranch, which intersects with Balcones Creek Road at I-10.
On its website, H-E-B states customers can get a head start by scheduling orders for curbside pickup and home delivery beginning March 4. Orders, it states, can be scheduled for pickup and delivery on opening day or up to seven days in advance.
Plans for the Lemon Creek development include office and retail spaces, restaurants and more than 25 acres of parks, including walking and biking trails, according to signage at the site.
The Fair Oaks H-E-B will be the chain’s third location within 12. 5 miles, stretching from its Boerne location at I-10 and West Bandera Road to its southerly locale in the Leon Springs center.
According to developer Valcor CRE, Lemon Creek Ranch is “Hill-country-modern, light-filled retail, residential, and office space is centered around the natural beauty of the local landscape.”
Valcor lists a traffic count of 62,367 vehicles per day on I-10 at Fair Oaks Parkway. A Valcor commercial brochure for the Lemon Creek development puts the average household income at $162,417 within three miles, and a median household value of $396,362 within a five-mile radius.
Among businesses already leasing room in buildings adjacent to the H-E-B are a First Aid Urgent Care, Great Clips, Veneto Nail Bar, AT&T, and Verlo Mattress.
“The careful and thoughtful curation of a trail system, buildings, streets, and open spaces sets Lemon Creek Ranch apart from other developments in the region,” the firm states on its website.
H-E-B is headquartered in San Antonio with more than $32 billion in revenue and 117,000 employees, or “partners.” Founded in 1905, H-E-B operates more than 400 stores in a number of formats, including superstores, supermarkets and gourmet markets.
H-E-B is the no. 1 food retailer in the Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Valley markets, and one of the 15 largest privately held companies in the U.S.
