Boerne Champion played in its first softball tournament of the season last week at the Ingram Tournament and posted a 3-2-1 record.
Champion is 3-3-1 overall and hosted Providence Tuesday. The Lady Chargers are scheduled to play in the NEISD Showcase Tournament this coming week at the North East Sports Park.
At the tournament, the Lady Chargers picked up wins against Harper, 4-2, Edison, 9-4, and then they were declared the winner over Churchill since the other Chargers team didn’t show up for the game, so Champion was given a forfeit win.
Champion lost to El Paso Chapin, 5-3, and they suffered a 6-1 setback to Natalia.
The Lady Chargers also played Johnson City to a 2-2 tie.
