Geneva swimmers compete at TAPPS state meet

The Geneva School of Boerne had several swimmers compete at the TAPPS state meet held this week in San Antonio.

There were eight personal bests in individual events and four personal best on their relays.

Overall, the girls placed sixth as a team in the field of 28 and the boys were eighth in the field of 28.

The girls 200-medley relay of Abigail Bussey, Haylee Parnell, Raquel Moerdyk and Malyn Arnold was 4th, while the boys 200-medley relay consisting of Luke Horton, Teagan Fikes, Reid Wilson and Jack Taylor was 8th.

In the girls 200-freestyle relay, Abigail Bussey Haylee Parnell Malyn Arnold and Raquel Moerdyk) claimed bronze medals with a 3rd-place finish, while the boys 200-free relay of Reid Wilson, Samuel Crews, Jack Taylor, Luke Horton was 8th.

In individual events, Abigail Bussey was 3rd in the 200 freestyle, Luke Horton placed 6th in the 200 freestyle, Reid Wilson finished 7th in the 200 individual medley, Haylee Parnell came in 4th in the 100 breaststroke and Reid Wilson was 5th in the 100 breaststroke.

Also, Abigail Bussey placed 6th in the 100 butterfly, Luke Horton came in 7th in the 100 backstroke, Haylee Parnell finished 10th in the 100 freestyle, Raquel Moerdyk was 13th in the 100 freestyle and Jack Taylor came in 16th in the 50 freestyle.
