Antonian made Tuesday’s non-district baseball game against Boerne interesting, at least early on, and jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but those would be the only runs the Indians would account for in the contest.

Boerne scored the next 12 runs on its way to a 12-2 six-inning, run-rule victory at Greyhound Field.

BHS improved to 16-1 and hosted Central Catholic Thursday before taking the weekend off and playing next Tuesday.

Antonian’s 2-0 lead didn’t last very long after the Greyhounds scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first for the 3-2 advantage and never trailed after that.

The Hounds added 2 more in the third, plated 5 in the fourth and then scored one run in the fifth to make it 11-1.

BHS had a runner at second and could have kicked in the mercy rule in the fifth but weren’t able to, however, they did it in the sixth to make it 12-2 and end it there.

BHS finished with 10 hits and were led by Rashawn Galloway who recorded 2 doubles and a single, 2 RBI and a run scored.

Cam Johnson hit 2 singles, drove in 2 runs and scored 3 times, Kalob Sanchez singled and scored, Riley Pechacek took 2 walks, singled, scored and picked up an RBI, Cole Phillips singled and collected an RBI, Max Garcia scored once, Tyler Garritano singled and pushed in a run, Dylan Perez singled and scored twice, Connor Shill plated a run and Jaxson Baize scored 2 runs.

Kalob Sanchez started on the mound and went 3 innings in getting the win. He gave up 4 hits, 2 runs, struck out 5 and walked 1.

Landon Lestourgeon threw an inning and fanned 2, walked 1 and didn’t give up a run or a hit, while Xander Cloudy finished it out with 2 innings of work and yielded 2 hits, no runs or walks and sat down 3.
