The Boerne High girls continue to thrive on the road and picked up another road victory Tuesday in Fredericksburg, this time to open district play.
BHS beat the Billies 8-0 and stayed unbeaten this year. The Lady Hounds are 11-0-1 overall and start district play at 1-0.
Boerne High was “home” Friday for its first home match of the year when they hosted Davenport in a battle of top 20 teams at Champion High School.
BHS was No. 3 in the state in the girls 4A rankings according to the Texas Girls Coaches Association poll heading into Friday and the Lady Wolves were No. 18.
On Tuesday Bella Pettet turned in a hat track and tallied 3 goals, while Mahaley Merkens and Sadie Parker punched in 2 goals each and Sophia Namvar knocked in a goal.
Six of the goals were assisted and Avery Ukeiley also recorded a hat track when it came to assists after she finished with three helpers, while Merkens, Sophia Harper and Tommie Rand all finished with 1 assist each.
