LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. February 18

12:41 a.m., Herff Ranch Subdivision- A woman reported her 11-year-old daughter as sexually assaulted by a man and a woman in the neighborhood who were trying to flee the scene. The man was arrested.

10:01 a.m., 125 Crosspoint- A woman alerted her apartment manager that a man was looking through her window. The manager advised the resident to file a report with the police.

4:27 p.m., 1400 block S. Main St.- A truck caught fire and was leaking fuel. A man nearby successfully put the fire out.

10:20 p.m., 300 block Lott- A woman sought information on obtaining a criminal trespass warning for her ex-boyfriend.

10:53 p.m., 1000 Diamond- A man reported his mother’s boyfriend put him in a chokehold and threatened to “take him out” while there were five children in the house. Then, the man said her boyfriend pointed a shotgun at his face. All parties had been drinking.

Officers also conducted 25 security checks, made 23 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, served a warrant and worked nine false alarms, five non-injury accidents and two reckless drivers.

 

February 19

1:46 a.m., 28900 block Bucking Bull- A man’s 12-year-old son called him because he felt unsafe and scared, saying his mother was drunk.

11:24 a.m., 31240 I-10 W.- A man refused to leave and was arguing after he was denied a rental.

2:37 p.m., 100 block Hwy 46 E.- A telephone wire was down on the northside of the state highway.

4:13 p.m., 300 block Lott- A man voluntarily moved out the day before but was back, and a woman wanted him gone. An anonymous neighbor was concerned for a 9- or 10-year-old boy who lived there, as they said there was constant domestic violence and potential narcotics use.

5:45 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A woman said a man exposed himself to her, her 1-year-old daughter and another woman in the women’s restroom.

8:16 p.m., 161 S. Main St.- A former employee refused to leave the location.

Officers also conducted 31 security checks, made 30 traffic stops, assisted the public nine times, removed a traffic hazard and worked six false alarms, four non-injury accidents and one reckless driver.

 

February 20

5:30 a.m., 400 block W. Bandera Rd.- A woman was concerned about a man walking in the middle of the busy city road.

7:10 a.m., 1223 S. Main St.- A man was arrested after a Walgreens employee reported he tried to leave the store with items without paying.

4:49 p.m., 100 block Whisper Way- A woman reported her neighbor across the street had a flag with profanities on it.

6:08 p.m., W. San Antonio and Yoalana- A woman was suspicious of a man walking with a younger boy. Nothing was unusual about their interaction, but she said a sex offender lived nearby.

6:54 p.m., 200 block Horse Hill- A father reported three boys shot bb guns at his 14-year-old daughter while she was at the Trails of Herff Ranch walking her dog. She didn’t sustain any injuries.

9:09 p.m., 100 block W. Bandera Rd.- A man reported someone in another vehicle shot at his truck with an airsoft gun.

Officers also conducted 25 security checks, made 22 traffic stops, assisted the public nine times and worked seven false alarms and three non-injury accidents.

 

February 21

9:32 a.m., 34910 I-10 W.- A woman reported her ex-partner was harassing her.

12:14 p.m., 500 block E. Bandera Rd.- A woman said her son in law was harassing her on social media, suspecting he was violating her emergency protective order against him.

3:41 p.m., 101 Herff Rd.- Two people saw a 15- or 16-year-old boy driving slowly through The Bevy parking lot, possibly canvasing vehicles.

5:40 p.m., 1510 S. Main St.- A man reported his vehicle was burglarized sometime that afternoon.

8:43 p.m., 1300 block N. Main St.- A man in a tan coat and not wearing any shoes was walking in the middle of the busy city road.

Officers also conducted 12 security checks, made four traffic stops, assisted the public 13 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked three false alarms, one non-injury accident and three animal calls.

February 17

12:16 a.m., 100 block Fm 3351 S.- A woman had a breathalyzer installed in her vehicle earlier that day. Then, when she went to drive her vehicle, the gas pedal got stuck. She was forced to drive into her “brick fence.”

11:47 a.m., 200 block Doeskin Dr.- A man reported a coyote was in his backyard.

12:28 p.m., 400 block FM 1376- A truck pulling a trailer was losing firewood on the busy state highway.

5:59 p.m., 100 block Thunder Valley Rd.- A man thought his newborn goat was missing, but he noticed it nursing by the time a deputy called him back 20 minutes later.

11:59 p.m., 40 block Scenic Loop Rd.- An individual was taken into custody during a traffic stop, and a wrecker was called.

Deputies also made 33 traffic stops, assisted the public nine times and worked three false alarms, one non-injury accident and a reckless driver.

 

February 18

2:16 p.m., 200 block Upper Cibolo Creek Rd.- A woman suspected her dog was shot while she was walking it. She didn’t hear a gun go off, but her dog made a sharp sound and died.

5:49 p.m., 100 block Sabine Rd.- A woman reported her ex-husband was at her home when he was only supposed to be there with a police escort. 

8:22 p.m., 300 block Ammann Rd.- A resident reported possible street racing on the county road.

9:30 p.m., 527 MM I-10 E.- A charter bus lost a belt on the interstate.

11:14 p.m., 522 MM I-10 E.- A woman reported the driver of a Nissan Sentra may be drunk, saying it was swerving and changing lanes rapidly. Deputies found the driver was tired after driving for 14 hours, and the passenger took over driving.

Deputies also made 35 traffic stops, assisted the public 11 times, served six warrants and worked three false alarms, one animal call and two reckless drivers.

 

February 19

2:59 a.m., 200 block Hannah Lane- A woman said a husband was hitting his wife, but it’s unclear if the caller was the wife. She said she locked herself in the bedroom in the house. She said the husband had a history of outbursts and had hit her on the back. Dispatch could hear the husband banging on the door and yelling. He said the caller hit him on the head with a brick.

7:16 a.m., 400 block Meadow Lane- A man reported his F350 was stolen overnight.

1:44 p.m., 60 block Kasten Rd.- A mother reported her 14-year-old daughter was assaulting everyone in the house. The girl’s father had her restrained in the front yard until first responders arrived.

10:02 p.m., 400 block Fuller Dr.- A woman with a catering company wanted to report an employee for theft, but she hung up without leaving any information with dispatch. She called back later saying her ride left, so she had to hang up abruptly. She then said her husband wasn’t with her and had all the information to file the report.

Deputies also made 18 traffic stops, assisted the public 10 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked three false alarms, four non-injury accidents, two animal calls and two reckless drivers.

 

February 20

8:05 a.m., 100 block Coveney Trail- A woman trapped a skunk in her backyard.

10:52 a.m., 600 block FM 474- A man reported seeing a homeless encampment by the river, saying he saw tarps spread out and tied to trees.

2:55 p.m., 30 block Mill Dam- A man was approached by two men who reportedly found an AR-15 in the river, which the resident found sketchy. Especially when the man who said he found the assault rifle wanted to keep it after having his “deputy friend” run the serial number. The owner of the weapon was located, and it was returned.

11:06 p.m., 900 block Hwy 87 N.- A woman on her way to Fredericksburg saw a vehicle on the side of the road with a grass fire next to it. When she pulled over, the vehicle drove off. The fire was mostly put out by the time firefighters responded, but they continued to put it out.

Deputies also made 18 traffic stops, assisted he public 13 times, removed two traffic hazards, served four warrants and worked one false alarm, one non-injury accident, three animal calls and one reckless driver.

 

February 21

3:37 a.m., 200 block Doeskin Dr.- A man let deputies know he’d be coming by the sheriff’s office sometime that day to report his girlfriend for stealing his belongings.

4:46 a.m., 10 block FM 3351 S.- A man reported a semitruck rolled on the state highway six times. He was able to talk to the driver who wasn’t responding at first, but the driver was initially unable to get out of the vehicle. A couple minutes later, the driver was trying climbing out, but he was unsuccessful. Medics said he wasn’t entrapped, but they couldn’t get him out. By about 5:07 a.m., the driver was out. 

7:43 a.m., 200 block FM 3351 S.- Another commercial truck seemed to flip on the state highway, as a woman reported a septic truck rolled over and a passenger as reported stuck inside the vehicle at 7:53 a.m. TxDOT arrived to help clean up the spilled fuel on the road and placed signage and barriers.

1:50 p.m., 100 block Richter- A woman reported her purse may have been stolen some place, some time. She didn’t answer when a deputy called.

3:38 p.m., 1490 S. Main St.- A man reported two employees at Billy’s Western Wear had their vehicles broken into. A father of one of the employees called saying his son’s AirPods were stolen, and he tracked them to a location in San Antonio. Deputies notified SAPD.

Deputies also made seven traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, removed one traffic hazard, served two warrants and worked three false alarms, four non-injury accidents. Five animal calls and one reckless driver.
