Comfort in Region IV for football, will compete in Region I in all other sports

Not a whole lot changed for Comfort in the recent UIL alignments.

Comfort stayed a 3A school and will play football in Region IV. In all the other sports, Comfort will compete in Region I or the West Texas region.

In football, the Bobcats are in in Region IV’s District 13-3A DII and will compete with Blanco, Lexington, Rogers and Thrall.

Comfort AD and head football coach Jay Rieken said it’s a stout district.

“Top to bottom it’s really solid,” he said. “It’s going to be a tough one.”

In all other sports, Comfort is in Region I’s District 5-3A and will compete with Blanco, Brady, Florence, Ingram and Llano, much like they do now.

“It stayed the same for us (in non-football sports),” he said. “Same old opponents.”
