Champion boys battle Patriots to 1-1 tie

The Boerne Champion boys soccer team suffered the first blemish on its record this year although they are still unbeaten.

Champion visited Veterans Memorial and played the Patriots to a 1-1 tie last Friday.

After Friday’s tie, the Chargers are 1-0-1 in district and 6-0-1 overall. Champion will be home for two games this week.

The Chargers hosted New Braunfels Canyon Tuesday and welcome Kerrville Tivy Friday.

In last Friday’s match, Liam Willis tallied Champion’s only goal while Lucca Talos had the assist on the goal.
