The Boerne Champion football team had 21 players — 20 of them seniors — named all-district after their performances during the 2023 season.
Two of the players, Jordan Ballin and Sawyer Bolli, were each recognized twice.
Ballin, a senior, was named the District 12-5A MVP and a 1st Team Quarterback.
Bolli, also a senior, was named all-district on both sides of the ball after he was a 1st Team Wide Receiver and landed on the 2nd Team as a Defensive Utility player.
Eight other Chargers were 1st Team picks, four on each side of the ball.
Offensively, senior Kieran Garris was a 1st Team Offensive Lineman, senior Cameron Logan was a 1st Team Wide Receiver, senior Cole Riha was a 1st Team Running Back and senior Ethan McVeigh was a 1st Team Tight End.
Defensively, senior Evan Kuhl was a 1st Team Safety, senior Brandon Karbowski was a 1st Team Defensive End, senior Patrick Price was a 1st Team Linebacker and senior Gage Goldberg was a 1st Team Linebacker.
Seven Chargers landed on the second team, four on offense and three on defense.
Senior Campbell Deberry was a 2nd Team Wide Receiver, senior Brady Wilson was a 2nd Team Center, junior Nathan Bell was a 2nd Team Kicker and senior Riley Wampler was a 2nd Team Offensive Lineman.
Defensively, senior Grant Menzies was a 2nd Team Outside Linebacker, senior Tony Graves was a 2nd Team Cornerback and senior Ethan Stanley was a 2nd Team Defensive Lineman.
Four other Chargers were recognized as Honorable Mention.
Senior Luke Rossi was an Honorable Mention Safety, senior Brooks Jones was an Honorable Mention Safety, senior Jack Burkhart was an Honorable Mention Defensive Lineman and senior Kaleb Krause was an Honorable Mention Tight End.
Champion finished the year at 8-3 overall and 5-2 in District 12-5A DI. They opened the playoffs with a first-round loss to College Station, 51-28.
