Apoxie Clay Carved Pendant, Jan. 30. Fill a metal bezel with a unique focal piece.

In the tradition of aboriginal bone carvings, shape Apoxie clay, apply a color coat, and complete a carved design.

Materials and techniques involve working with two-part Apoxie clay, adding colorants to the medium, understanding the working stages in curing, and carving techniques.

Mixed Media Frame, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13. Build up layers of mixed media to create an original picture frame. Mimic old-world carving through embellishments, paint, paper, medium and building wax.

The first class lays down a structural base while the second class focuses on paint and wax finishing. If you enjoy playing with texture and color, this class offers techniques transferable to any home décor project.

Quilled Bowl, Feb 8. A rescheduled date, due to inclement weather; a few spaces remain.
