Comfort High has won its last two boys basketball games after dropping its district opener to Ingram on Jan. 12.
The Bobcats stampeded the Buffaloes of Florence on the road last Tuesday, 65-37, and then defeated Ingram at home last Friday, 63-41.
CHS is 16-9 overall and 2-1 in district. They hosted Brady Tuesday and visit Llano Friday.
Against Ingram, Comfort won the first and second quarters by 5 points, 19-14 and 15-10, for the 34-24 halftime lead.
The Bobcats started to pull away in the third after winning the quarter, 53-31.
The teams were even in the fourth period at 10-10.
Comfort shot 51 percent in the game and scored 32 of their 63 points in the paint.
Comfort only had five fouls in the contest.
Jovani Zapata led the Cats with 17 points, Jaydin Steward added 13 and Joel Lozano scored 12. Steward snagged 14 rebounds to make it a double-double.
Jared Valadez had 5 points, Jackson Dear netted 4, Terick Rodriguez tallied 3 and Aidan Schwarz had 2.
Zapata recorded 5 assists and Lozano came up with 5 steals.
