JANUARY 13
• Fredericksburg Indian Artifacts Show at Lady Bird Johnson Park in Fredericksburg. Featuring a wide variety of some of the finest Native American artifacts from Texas and the United States, including; arrowheads, pottery, tools, beads, jewelry, related books, display cases & other collectibles.
• Intro to Basic Leather Stamping workshop from 1-4 p.m. at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road. Students will learn to do basket stamping and finish with a border stamp, learn to prep the leather, how to plan a pattern, how to properly use stamps and mallet, and how to finish the border edge. All supplies are included for this workshop.
• The Carriage House Gallery, 110 Rosewood, is celebrating the New Year with a 4-7 p.m. reception for a new artist, Martha Sherman. See her amazing nature-inspired ceramic sculptures at the gallery reception with wine and light bites.
• Star Party at Guadalupe River State Park. Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff will be on site with their telescopes between 6-8 p.m. to point out the moon, constellations, planets and more. Drop in anytime for the free and public event.
JANUARY 15
• MLK Jr. Day of Service, Patrick Heath Public Library Amphitheater 10 a.m. to noon. Hosted by Touchstone United Church of Christ, a short ceremony will be followed by a walk down Main Street to River Road and back as a visible show of solidarity for MLK Jr. and the pillars of freedom, justice, and equality that he stood for.

JANUARY 19
• Boerne Community Theater opens “Welcome Back to Ivy Gap,” with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and a showtime of 8 p.m. Rejoining First Baptist of Ivy Gap after a tragic fire and a loss of their cherished pastor, the newly renovated sanctuary welcomes a new leader. In this third installment of the “First Baptist” trilogy, in “Welcome Back to Ivy Gap” we witness colorful characters coming together for a second chance, sharing laughter, love, and forgiveness.
