CALENDAR OF EVENTS: JANUARY 11 JANUARY 27

JANUARY 11

* The Boerne Chamber will hold a ribbon- cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. for ClutterFree PHD at the chamber office, 121 S. Main St., to celebrate the organization company. * The Boerne Area Democrats will host Kristen Hook, Ph.D., at noon at Longhorn Café, 369 S. Esser Road in Boerne. Hook is running in the Democratic primary for U.S. House Texas District 21 on March 5, 2024. She will face current Rep. Chip Roy in the general election in November.

JANUARY 12

* A Boerne Outpost meeting is set for 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Boerne, 31 Ammann Road in Boerne. This organization, affiliated with Stand to Reason, hosts weekly Christian apologetics meetings each Friday. Meetings are open to the public.

JANUARY 13

* Fredericksburg Indian Artifacts Show at Lady Bird Johnson Park in Fredericksburg. Featuring a wide variety of some of the finest Native American artifacts from Texas and the United States, including arrowheads, pottery, tools, beads, jewelry, related books, display cases and other collectibles. * Intro to Basic Leather Stamping workshop from 1-4 p.m. at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road. Students will learn to do basket stamping and finish with a border stamp; learn to prep leather; plan your pattern; learn to properly use stamps and mallet; and learn how to finish the border edge. All supplies are included for this workshop. * Star Party at Guadalupe River State Park between 6 and 8 p.m. Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff will be on site with their telescopes to point out the moon, constellations, planets and more.

JANUARY 15

* MLK Jr. Day of Service from 10 a.m. to noon at the Patrick Heath Public Library amphitheater. Hosted by Touchstone United Church of Christ, a short ceremony will be followed by a walk down Main Street to River Road and back, as a visible show of solidarity for MLK Jr. and the freedom, justice, and equality he stood for.

JANUARY 25

* Third annual Burns Night. Press your Kilts; Richter Boerne invites you to join them at Richter Tavern for their third annual Burns Night. Stay alert for information on ticket sales.

JANUARY 27

* Customer Appreciation event & “Favorite Things” party, noon to 7 p.m. at Handmade on Main, 347 N. Main St. Shop and bring along some favorite things purchased from the store in the past. Get a ticket for attending, earn a ticket when you shop during the day, and score a ticket when you share your favorite things. Giveaways planned at the end of the night.
