Lady Hounds are perfect at Boerne ISD tourney

The Lady Greyhounds went a perfect 4-0 at the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament held at BHS and Champion.

Boerne reached the 20-win plateau with the four wins they picked up at the tourney and stand at 20-3 overall.

BHS seniors Averi Aaron and Abby Smith were also recognized for their accomplishments. Aaron reached 2,000 points and Smith has tallied 1,000 points in their Greyhound careers.

The Lady Hounds resumed district play this week and visited Wimberley Tuesday. They’ll be home to host Navarro on Friday.

Boerne dominated in last week’s tournament and won each game comfortably. Their narrowest margin of victory was 22 points and their largest margin of victory was 39 points.

BHS opened with a 73-34 win over Laredo Alexander. Later on Wednesday, they followed that up with a 67-29 win over Kerrville Tivy.

The Boerne girls returned on Thursday and picked up a couple of Taylor, 60-38, and then closed out the tourney with a 30-point win over Huffman Hargrave, 60-30.
