BHS boys go 3-1 at BISD tourney

The Boerne High boys posted a 3-1 record at the Boerne ISD tournament held Dec. 27-28 at both BHS and Champion.

Boerne’s 3-1 mark at the tourney improves their record to 17-5 overall and closes out 2023 and the non-district portion of its schedule.

The Greyhounds opened district play Tuesday at home against Wimberley. BHS continues league play Friday at Navarro.

Boerne’s only loss at the tournament came to Kerrville Tivy. The Antlers defeated the Greyhounds, 67-50.

Boerne won its three other games by close margins. The Hounds defeated Harlandale to open the tourney, 58-54, last Wednesday. Later in the day, they fell to Tivy.

BHS returned on Thursday and edged Sinton, 50-49, and then closed out the tourney with a 53-45 win over Gregory Portland in the final game of the event at Greyhound Gym.
