Six BISD athletes selected for SA Sports All-Star Game

Greyhound staff to coach Team Black

Six Boerne ISD varsity football players and the coaching staff from Boerne High will participate in the 2024 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game.

The contest will be played Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, in the Alamodome and includes 120 seniors representing 64 San Antonio area high schools.

Players are nominated by their high school coaches and chosen by a selection committee featuring broadcasters, journalists and former coaches.

BHS head coach Che Hendrix and his staff will lead the Team Black roster into battle against Team Gold, coached by Blaine Pederson of Madison High School.

All six Boerne ISD athletes selected will suit up for Team Black.

Chargers Gage Goldberg (linebacker), Kieran Garris (offensive line) and Sawyer Bolli (safety) have been selected, while Greyhounds Charlie Stahl (defensive back), McCoy Bruce (athlete) and TJ Dement (running back) have been selected to play in the game.

Bruce and Dement will both sit out the game because of injuries.
