The Lady Chargers are taking a break from league play and will help co-host the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament set for Dec. 27-28 at both high schools.
In Monday’s game, Champion was consistent in the first half with 13 points in the first and second quarters for 26 points and held a 26-21 lead, but they struggled once the second half started and the biggest culprit was turnovers.

Canyon’s 19-5 run gave them a 40-31 lead going into the final stanza.
Champion played better in the fourth and scored 10 but couldn’t make up any ground as the Cougarettes netted 15 to pull away. They outscored the Lady Chargers in the second half, 34-15.
