Festival of Trees: A Gala of Giving Lights Up Our Local Library
In a dazzling display of holiday spirit and community camaraderie, our town’s annual “Festival of Trees” has once again transformed our local library into a festive haven of twinkling lights and enchanting decorations.
More than just a spectacle of seasonal beauty, this extraordinary event serves as a vital fundraiser for our beloved library, with heartfelt thanks to our gracious donors, sponsors, and bidders who made this year’s festival an overwhelming success.
Donors Light the Way
Beyond the spectacle of shimmering ornaments and twinkling lights lies the true heart of the Festival of Trees -- a commitment to fostering community outreach. Our donors/ sponsors, those shining stars of generosity.
Community sponsors included Boerne Area Democrats, Mission Aviation Fellowship, The Jones Christmas Ranch, Tilson Custom Home Builders, Town and Country Nursing and Rehabilitation, Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild, Pinnacle Realty Advisor’s Sandy Johnston, Haute Air Boerne Balloonery, Airrosti’s Dr. Reg Cully, Boerne Family Medicine, United Texas Credit Union, and Kristin Shine in memory of Richard & Ruth Haas.
Our donors not only decorated our library with enchanting holiday cheer but have also enriched the lives of those who benefit from our library’s resources and programs. The success of this event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors and donors.
To each and every business, family, and individual who contributed, we extend our deepest appreciation. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their support, and we look forward to next year’s festival.
The Joy of Giving: Literary Gifts for Bibliophiles
‘Tis better to give than to receive, they say … and what better gift to give than the gift of a good read? Bookstores are buzzing with holiday shoppers on the hunt for the perfect page-turner to tuck under the tree or slip into a stocking.
From beautifully illustrated editions of classic novels to quirky bookish accessories like literary- themed socks and mugs, there’s no shortage of delightful presents for the bookworm in your life.
Reading with a Side of Holiday Cheer
The season isn’t just about reading -- it’s about celebrating each other and the joy of words and stories.
From making snowflakes inspired by favorite characters to writing letters to the North Pole, the holidays are the perfect time to inspire a love of reading in children. So, dear readers, as you sip on your favorite seasonal beverage and wrap yourself in the warmth of a good book, remember that the magic of the holidays is not just in the twinkling lights and festive decorations -- it’s in the stories that bring us together, creating memories as timeless as the tales we hold dear.
May your days be merry and bright, and your pages be filled with joyous adventures. Happy reading and happy holidays.
