Boerne High got back to its winning ways Friday against Bandera after dropping its district opener in its previous contest at Davenport.
The Lady Hounds hosted Bandera Friday and overwhelmed the Lady Bulldogs, 94-10.
Boerne improved to 15-3 overall and 1-1 in district. They’ll take a break from 27-4A play for a bit and took on Incarnate Word Monday and won big.
After that, the Lady Hounds will co-host the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament Dec. 27-28. They’ll resume district play in the new year on Jan. 2 at Wimberley.
In last Friday’s game, the Lady Greyhounds were winning 52-7 at halftime and won the second half, 42-3 against the overmatched Lady Bulldogs.
Averi Aaron had a big game and finished with 28 points, Addison Palluch dropped in 15, Abby Smith netted 14, Jenna Ruede scored 13 and Meredith McLeod finished with 12 to make it five Lady Hounds in double figures.
Savannah Salinas scored 7, and Chloe Donnell hit for 2 before leaving with an injury.
Aaron made it a double- double with 10 rebounds and she dished out 5 assists, while McLeod added 4 assists and 6 steals to her totals.
Salinas came up with 4 steals, Palluch had 5 steals, while Ruede and Donnell both recorded 3 steals.
