The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team opened district play Tuesday with a lopsided win at Brentwood Christian.
The Eagles defeated the Austin school by 51 points, 75-24, and improved to 11-3 overall.
The Eagles start district at 1-0 and continued league play Friday against Texas School for the Deaf.
In Tuesday’s game, Geneva had three players in double figures and 10 Eagles scored in the game.
Maegan Riebel was hot from the outside and went 4 for 5 from the 3-point line on her way to 22 points. Riebel also recorded 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.
Bethany DeLuna and Kyra Petty both netted 13 points, Lindsay Lee added 6, Morgan Howard tallied 4, Madeline Egbert and Suzie Nilsson chipped in with 3 each, while Reese Smith, Sopris Oglesby and Hailey Kirchner all hit for 2.
Petty made it a double- double after she grabbed 12 rebounds to go with her 13 points. Petty also dished out 7 assists and had 4 blocks.
Howard snagged 7 rebounds and DeLuna came up with 3 steals.
