Comfort High was on the road Tuesday for a boys basketball game. It’s the first of two road games this week for the Bobcats.
On Tuesday Comfort visited Harper and they were at Uvalde Friday.
The Bobcats won Tuesday’s game, 63-38, and improved to 7-6 this year.
Comfort had a fast start Tuesday and held a 21-10 lead over Harper. The Cats kept it up in the second and outscored the Longhorns by double digits again, 16-5 for the 37-15 halftime lead.
Harper had its best quarter of the night in the third with 16 points but Comfort kept pace and dropped in 13 for the 50-31 lead as the game went to the final stanza.
In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats outscored the Longhorns, 13-7, for the 63-38 win.
Jovani Zapata and Jared Valadez tallied 18 points apiece for Comfort and Jaydin Steward was also in double digits with 16 points.
Gio Lopez added 5, while Joel Lozano and Aidan Schwarz netted 3 points apiece.
William Spaeth led Harper with 14 points and Justin Wilke added 11.
