Comfort hosted Marion Tuesday night in boys basketball and lost by 19 points to the Bulldogs, 58-39.
With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 4-4 this season. Comfort is hosting their own tournament this weekend. The Cats opened the tourney Thursday morning against San Antonio Stacey.
Despite Tuesday’s loss, Comfort was winning 9-7 after the first quarter but Marion outscored them in the three remaining periods.
The Bulldogs won the second, 20-14, and took a 27-23 lead into halftime.
From there, Marion outscored the Bobcats in the third, 13-9, and again in the fourth, 18-7, to put it away.
Joel Lozano led Comfort with 10 points, Jaydin Steward added 9, Jackson Dear tallied 7, Santos Hernandez and Jovani Zapata scored 4 points apiece, Jared Valadez netted 3 and Daniel Adams finished with 2.
