DECEMBER 10

* Christmas at the Creek, Cibolo Creek Community Church, 5-6 p.m. Take a break from all the endless baking, the shopping, the end- rolls of wrapping paper, and attend this event for an unforgettable Christmas experience complete with fun, games, music, and a meaningful celebration of Christmas.

DECEMBER 14

Frost Bank is hosting “Cookies with Santa” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at its Boerne Financial Center, 1300 S. Main St. in Boerne. Free to the public, the bank looks to spread a little Christmas cheer with Christmas cookies and an appearance by Ol’ Saint Nick himself. Frost urges attendees to bring a camera to capture a forever-memory.

DECEMBER 15-17 

* The annual Kinderfest gets under way Friday. The Boerne Retail & Restaurant Owners Association urges everyone to continue to shop, drink, dine and stay “local.” Show off your ugly Christmas sweaters, silly Christmas pajamas, and Whoville hairdos. Friday and Saturday feature a “Cookie Crawl” along the Hill Country Mile, with tickets available at the Boerne Chamber of Commerce website. Don’t miss the “Santa Scavenger Hunt” Friday and Saturday. Pick up your Santa Scavenger Hunt passport, listing all the locations where Santa is hidden, on the day of the event at: Before Your Eyes Interiors, 189 S Main St., or The Dienger Trading Co., 210 N. Main St. There will be Photos with Santa, an appearance by Father Christmas, and a Cowboy Christmas Market. Boerne Bright is all new, with more than 400,000 Christmas lights, activities for kids, and plenty of photo ops to make your Christmas cards the envy of your neighborhood. Make Boerne Bright your newest Christmas tradition at 631 S School St. in Boerne. 

DECEMBER 17 

* Boerne Concert Band presents “Christmas Comes to Town,” a free Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in the Boerne High School auditorium. Music of the Christmas season will be featured. The band is made up of musical members from all walks of life, including middle and high school and college students, lifetime musicians, band directors and military veterans. From 6-6:30 p.m., the 'Boerne Ukuladies' will perform Christmas songs to entertain concertgoers as they arrive. For more info: boerneconcertband.com. * St. Mark Presbyterian Church is offering a “Longest Night” worship service at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 2088 W. Bandera Road. Longest Night services are held near the longest night of the year, which falls right in the midst of the Christmas holiday. The service will include quiet music, times of silence, scripture readings, prayer, and the opportunity for worshippers to light a candle in memory of a loved one.
