Boerne High was on the road last weekend for a girls basketball tournament in Georgetown.
The Lady Greyhounds went 3-2 at the event and won the bronze division. Jenna Ruede was named to the all-tournament team for Boerne.
The event was called the Jack Frost Tournament and it was the 44th year for Georgetown to host the tourney that features 16 boys and girls teams from around the state over three days.
Frost was the Georgetown Superintendent for 19 years and had the tournament named after him.
BHS stands at 13-2 overall and visited Wagner on Tuesday. After that, they’re off Friday and open district next Tuesday at Davenport.
Boerne High opened the Jack Frost tournament with a 59-48 loss to Leander Glenn, 59-48, for their first setback of the season.
After that, the Lady Hounds dropped their second straight game to Killeen Chaparral by a similar score as the Glenn game, 58-47.
From that point on, the Boerne girls won its last three games at the tourney to close it out.
Boerne defeated Crowley, 57-42, and then rocked Round Rock Westwood, 58-26, before ending the event with a 51-38 over Mansfield Legacy.
