Get ready to share a holiday adventure as the Boerne Community Theatre’s production of “A Christmas Cactus” opens December 8.
Co-produced by HEB, this festive production promises a delightful blend of comedy, mystery, and romance, bringing the spirit of Christmas alive on stage.
Christmas Eve takes an unexpected turn for private investigator Cactus O’Riley, a fiery redhead battling the holiday blues.
Juggling personal challenges, including trying to lure her secretary Fred away from his protective mother and dodging the affections of Deputy D.A. Windsor, Cactus finds herself caught up in the chaos of two fugitives seeking justice and a puzzling case involving a deceased detective named Jake Marley. As if that weren’t enough, Fred’s mother arrives, mistaking the situation for the Christmas murder mystery party she’s always dreamed of attending.
Join Cactus as she unravels mysteries, delivers small miracles, and takes a second chance on love and sleuthing. This charming contemporary Christmas tale is a perfect convergence of goodwill, justice, and holiday cheer.
The cast includes Jessica Mewborne as Cactus O’Riley; Austin Escobedo as Fred Booker; Robin Cunningham as Stuart Windsor; Rebecca Vidal as Adelaide Booker; Steve Harris as Neville Smedley; and Dwayne Martin as Ramon Ramirez.
Written by: Eliot Byerrum, A Christmas Cactus is being directed by Martin Vidal.
