BISD swim teams in action at Davis Natatorium in S.A.

Both the Boerne High and Boerne Champion swim teams were entered in the NEISD Last Chance TISCA meet held recently at Davis Natatorium.

In the combined team standings, the Greyhounds were 7th with 334 points and the Chargers were 11th with 165 points.

On the girls side, the Lady Hounds tallied 220 points for 3rd and the boys were 9th with 114, while the Lady Chargers were 9th with 128 points and the boys were 12th with 37 points.

RESULTS

Boerne’s Brenna McCarty was 8th in the 200 free with a 2:17 and Charger Ana Metz came in 15th in 2:24.

Cooper Wagner of BHS placed 8th in the boys 200 at 2:00 and Aaron Mendoza of CHS was 15th in 2:14.

BHS’s Michelle Mendoza clocked in at 35.68 in the girls 50 back for 25th and Greyhound Tristan Wood was 13th in the boys 50 at 30.15.

Lauren Summers of Boerne placed 7th in the 200 IM and in the boys 200 IM, fellow Greyhound Cooper Wagner came in 4th at 2:19.

Ryane Roy of Champion won the 50 freestyle after clocking in at 27.67 and Michelle Mendoza of BHS was 8th in 29.11, while Boerne’s Michael Villarreal placed 22nd in the boys 50 free.

BHS’s Brenna McCarty took 1st in the 100 butterfly after posting a 1:08 and teammate Sarah Heilesen was 3rd in 1:09, while Cole Grotjohn of Boerne finished 9th in 1:03.63 on the boys side.

Charger Meghan Jackson finished 8th in the 100 free with a time of 1:00, while Greyhound Cooper Wagner came in 5th in the boys race after turning in a 53.94.

Karen Gray of BHS was 2nd in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:09, while Champion’s Aiden Carney placed 5th in the boys race at 6:10.

Charger Meghan Jackson was 8th in the girls 100 backstroke after posting a 1:09.38, Brenna McCarty of BHS was 9th in 1:09.69, while in the boys race Cole Grotjohn of Boerne finished 6th at 1:06.

Greyhound Sarah Heilesen came in 11th in the 50 butterfly after clocking in at 31.23.

Boerne’s Lauren Summers won the 100 breaststroke after posting a 1:19, and Ryane Roy of CHS was 3rd at 1:20.

Cole Grotjohn and Cooper Wagner of BHS were 10-11 in the boys 100 breast with times of 1:11 and 1:12.
