Boerne boys win Pearsall tournament

The Boerne High boys stayed perfect this year after the Greyhounds went 5-0 at the Pearsall Tournament held last weekend to capture first place.

Nic Hernandez was named Tournament MVP, while Sam Holland was an all- tournament selection.

Boerne High improved to 6-0 and hosted Medina Valley Monday before playing at Highlands Tuesday. They are off until next week when they play John Jay after the Thanksgiving break.

At the tourney, BHS opened with a win over West Campus last Thursday, 59-35. Later that day, the Hounds downed Edison, 73-23.

On Friday, Boerne returned and took care of Cotulla, 75- 25, and then defeated host Pearsall later that day, 64-50.

The Greyhounds returned on Saturday and finished off Floresville for the tourney title, 60-52.
