The Boerne Independent School District will host the fifth annual Boerne ISD Cookies and Cocoa Staff Appreciation and Toy Drive on Friday, December 1st from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Boerne Academy cafeteria.
All BISD staff members are invited and will be served cookies and cocoa, as well as enjoy performances from student choir, bands, and dance teams, and pick up their longevity stipend.
The festivities serve as a thank you to BISD staff for their hard work this school year.
Earlier this fall, BISD announced the largest staff longevity stipend in district history. All BISD teachers, nurses, and librarians will receive $1,500 each, and all other employees in permanent full-time and part-time positions, not including the Superintendent, will receive $1,000 each.
BISD is partnering with Kendall County Blue Santa and will look to collect more than 1,200 unwrapped toys for children in the Boerne ISD community. BISD asks those who attend to help brighten the holiday season for a local child in need by donating an unwrapped school-age toy or gift card.
The community is invited to drop off an unwrapped toy before November 30 at the main lobby of Central Office, 235 Johns Road, or at the event on Dec. 1. No toy guns of any kind, please.
Student and staff performers will entertain at Cookies and Cocoa, when the district unveils the official 2023 District holiday card at 8:30 a.m.\\
