Geneva track and field at Cornerstone meet

Members of the Geneva School of Boerne track and field teams recently competed at the Cornerstone Relays and several Eagles had strong performances.

On the girls side, Lindsie Baggs was second in the 400, Kenzie Cates came in third in the shot and fourth in discus, Francesca Dacy finished fifth in the 100 dash, Avery Eggerss took third in the 100 and third in the 200, Isabella Godoy won the 800 and 1600 races and Sophia Mixon took first in the 200, while the 4x200 relay of Baggs, Cates, Eggerss and Mixon teamed up for second place.

On the boys side, Hayden Allen won the 100, Sam Armstrong came in second in the 300 hurdles, Logan Fritcher placed sixth in the shot put, Landon Grimes was second in the long jump and placed fifth in the 100, Nicholas Siller won two races after he took first in the 3200 and 1600, Stephen Syamken was fourth in the discus and Jack Taylor finished fifth in the long jump.

In boys relays, the 4x100 of Allen, Grimes, Kaiser and Gage Secor was third, while the 4x200 of Allen Armstrong, Grimes and Kaiser teamed up for second.
