The Champion swim team was in action recently at the David Johnson Fall Classic at Davis Natatorium in San Antonio.
In the final team standings, the Lady Chargers were 2nd with 377 points and the boys were 6th with 265 points. Champion was 3rd overall in the combined team scores with 642 points.
The Champion girls team of Kate Deykin, Cameron Kellogg, Kate Canales and Cora Skoog were 1st in the B Finals at 1:52.24 in the 200-medley relay, while the boys were 3rd after Will Harrison, Owen Altermatt, Bexon Harrison and EJ Altermatt turned in a 1:47.63 in the B Finals.
Kate Deykin was 2nd in the 200 freestyle in 2:06.47 and Owen Altermatt came in 4th in the boys race with a 1:58.64.
Kate Canales won the 200 IM with a 2:10.99 and Cameron Kellogg was 2nd at 2:15.91.
Cora Skoog was 1st in the 50 free after clocking in at 24.49 in the C Finals, while Will Harrison came in 3rd in the boys 50 free with a time of 23.10.
Jada Green and Emma Haines went 1-2 in 1-meter diving with scores of 354.50 and 3:38.35, while Colin Breuer won the boys event with 442.30 points.
Cora Skoog placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.55, Kate Canales came in 1st in the C Finals in the 100 free after posting a 53.67, while Will Harrison finished 2nd in the boys 100 free with a time of 51.39.
Carson Muenchow clocked in at 5:09.07 in the boys 500 free for 3rd place.
The Champion girls won the 200-yard freestyle relay after Cora Skoog, Kate Deykin, Cameron Kellogg and Kate Canales combined for a time of 1:41.55, while on the boys side, Will Harrison, Owen Altermatt, EJ Altermatt and Jake Canales teamed up for 2nd with a time of 1:36.19.
Kate Deykin was 2nd in the 100-yard backstroke B Finals after recording a 1:02.70, while Ethan Rocker and Carson Muenchow went 6-7 in the boys 100 back with times of 1:02.80 and 1:03.81.
Cameron Kellogg placed 3rd in the girls 100 breaststroke after touching the wall with a time of 1:12.02 and Madi Neuman was 4th in 1:13.37.
Jake Canales came in 3rd in the boys 100 breaststroke after posting a 1:07.22 and Owen Altermatt was 5th at 1:10.09.
The Champion girls were 5th in the 400-yard medley relay after Kenna Chastain, Lilly Schiffelbein, Addison Homann and Meghan Jackson teamed up for a time of 4:07.68.
