With three matches left in the regular season the Boerne Champion boys soccer team is still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

With three matches left in the regular season the Boerne Champion boys soccer team is still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

The Chargers were at Kyle Lehman on Tuesday and tied the Lobos, 1-1. The two teams have tied in both matches this year, the last time at 0-0 in the first round.

Champion is 5-8-4 overall and 4-7-2 in district. They are scheduled to host Seguin Friday and then play two matches over spring break against Kerrville Tivy and Buda Johnson.

Chargers coach Clifton Tierney said they need the Antlers to lose to NB Canyon on Friday and added that his team needs to defeat Tivy and Johnson next week.

In Tuesday’s match, Will Wallace scored Champion’s only goal with the assist from Calvin Perryman.
