The Geneva boys basketball team kicked off their season this past week and finished the week with a 2-0 record.
The Eagles took on IDEA Najim last Tuesday for its season opener and came away with a 47-27 win. After that, they beat Castle Hills on Saturday, 53-32.
The Eagles took on Marble Falls Faith Tuesday as they continued their season and will compete in the Warrior Classic hosted by Cornerstone this coming weekend, Thursday through Saturday.
Against IDEA Najim, the Eagles allowed 13 points in the 1st quarter but held the Stars to 14 points the rest of the way. The Eagles were led in scoring by a 13-point output from Wyatt Bruss, while Jack Taylor had a double-double on the night, scoring 10 points along with grabbing 11 rebounds. Griffin Freiling added 9 points.
On Saturday the Eagles hosted Castle Hills and won 53-32. The Eagles put in another impressive effort on the defensive end of the floor, only allowing 32 points on the night.
Colton Lutz led the way with 22 points, while Jack Taylor came up one point short of his second consecutive double-double after scoring 9 points to go with 10 rebounds. Wyatt Bruss scored 8 and Griffin Freiling finished with 7.
