The Comfort girls basketball team hosted Harper Saturday afternoon and it was a rough outing for the Deer as they had a hard time getting their offense going.
Comfort was held scoreless through the first three quarters and only netted five points in the game, all in the final stanza.
Harper went on to win the contest 44-5 to drop the Deer to 0-2 this season. Comfort was scheduled to host South San West Campus Monday before playing in the Maverick Classic this weekend in Pearsall.
Rachael Adams hit a 3-pointer for the Deer in the fourth quarter, while Katie Haffner and Madison Davis both dropped in 1 free throw each for their five points.
Hannah Adams led the team on the boards and snagged 7 rebounds and also came up with 2 steals. Jael Hernandez tallied 4 steals, while Haffner and Rachel Adams both recorded 2 steals.
