The Boerne Champion boys basketball team won its season opener Friday night at home against Northside Taft, 63-40.
Champion starts the year at 1-0 and visited Southwest Legacy Tuesday. They’ll play in the Harlandale Tournament this weekend.
In Friday’s game, Charlie Georgelos and Quinn Grable netted 17 points apiece, Briggs Jones scored 9, Baeden Burdick finished with 7 points, Kristian Herrera tallied 6, Logan Scott scored 4 and Joshua Marquez chipped in with 3.
