Acts shine on stage during ‘Hill Country’s Got Talent’

The stage was set, and the talent was undeniable as the “Hill Country’s Got Talent” show crowned its champions Oct. 21 at the Kendall County Fairgrounds.

The annual talent competition, which featured an array of youthful and adult performers, showcased the remarkable skills and abilities within the community. The judges, Stephan Rogers, Philip Chancellor, Jack Morgan, and Judge Kirsten Barron Cohoon, were faced with the tough choice of selecting the night’s winners.

Prevailing in the Youth category were:

• The Evans Sisters, Stella and Phoebe, a dynamic sister duo who wowed the audience with their vocal harmonies and captivating stage presence.

• Amelia Causey, a rising star with a voice that left everyone spellbound.

• Elizabeth McCammon, an exceptional young performer who showcased her impressive talents and bright future in the world of entertainment.

Winners in the Adult category were:

• Tappin’ Gold, an adult tap-dancing group that proved age is just a number when it comes to pursuing one’s passion.

• Ken “Still Rockin” Collier, a seasoned performer who proved that he is indeed “Still Rockin” with his exceptional musical talent.

• Sally Cowan, a remarkable artist who thrilled the audience with her vocal range and artistry. Performer Andrew Stoner was the recipient of the firstever “Fan Favorite” award, as Stoner captured the hearts of the audience with his unforgettable performance. “Hill Country’s Got Talent” is an annual talent competition and fundraiser for the Boerne Community Theater. It brings together the most remarkable local performers, showcasing their talents on a grand stage and celebrating the vibrant arts community in the Hill Country region.
