Geneva runs at TAPPS state cross country meet

The Geneva School of Boerne varsity boys and girls cross country teams competed at the TAPPS 4A state meet held earlier this week at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco.

Geneva Boys

Geneva finished 7th in the boys race with 243 points.

The Covenant School of Dallas won it with 51 points, Brentwood Christian was 2nd (101) and Trinity Christian School of Lubbock came in 3rd (125) in a field of 26 teams.

For the Eagles, Will Muck led the Eagles and was 20th with a time of 18:29, Braden Davis came in 29th with an 18:55, Samuel Siller finished 39th in 19:18, Jonathan Taylor placed 75th after recording a 20:37, Samuel Crews posted a 20:51 for 80th, Christian Vis was 96th in 21:16 and Parker Eiland rounded out the team with a time of 21:27 for 102nd.

Geneva Girls

The Lady Eagles tallied 350 points for 12th in a field of 20 teams.

Legacy Prep Christian won the meet with 77 points, Brentwood Christian took 2nd (86) and The Covenant School of Dallas came in 3rd (119).

Grace Detterick had the team’s highest finisher and was 9th with a time of 13:25 in the 2-mile race. Abigail Bussey placed 60th after running a 15:36, another Geneva runner posted a time of 15:49 for 64th, Sadie Muck finished 97th in 17:20 and Faith Lorenz rounded out the team after she was 120th with a time of 19:46.
